This will be only the third ever meeting between the nations, having previously been drawn together in a qualifying group for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The match that took place here resulted in a 2-1 victory for the hosts, with Ivan Trichkovski scoring both goals either side of an Aaron Ramsey penalty
